Import a schedule you already built

Import a schedule when you already have one on paper, in a spreadsheet, or in another system. After you sign in, Schedultary reads a photo, a PDF, a spreadsheet, or a calendar and proposes names, shifts, and staffing patterns. You review that proposal before it becomes the workplace. You can also build the roster by hand. For a residency, Use an Existing Schedule fills a draft year. It does not rebuild the block calendar of a program that already has blocks.

A file export, not a live connection

QGenda comes in as a file you review: match names, check the rows, then export CSV or Excel. There is no live push back to QGenda. Other tools follow the same idea. Bring the file, confirm the people, then generate forward from your rules.

What you should check

Names that almost match, shifts that were abbreviations, and a pattern that was a one-off. The import is a starting roster and a starting pattern. Rules and the next request window are still yours to set. Synthetic sample data on the public site uses fictional names only.

Questions

Do I need an old schedule?

No. An old schedule makes the first roster faster. You can start from a workplace starter or a blank residency and add people yourself.

Will import publish last month's shifts?

You review first. Publish is a later step you take on a draft you accept.

Can an assistant read the uploaded file?

A signed-in admin assistant can work with the workplace after the import is in the account. The public pages never receive your file.
