Residency scheduling software for a year, not a shop month

Residency scheduling software has to fill a year of rotations and the call that sits on top of them. Schedultary keeps that separate from a shop shift grid. You name the classes, the rotations, and the block calendar. A common shape is 13 blocks of four weeks. You can also use months, an x-y cycle, or blocks of other lengths. Counts start empty unless you pick a specialty starter. You edit those counts in Rules. Generate fills an unpublished year. A published year is left alone. Residents ask for rotations, vacation, days off, a co-resident, and holiday rankings. You decide. Fairness is call, weekend, and holiday counts.

The year is yours to shape

Calendar modes are fixed blocks, calendar months, or an x-y cycle. A block can be split by part of its length. A general starter does not preload a chief structure, intern counts, or night staffing from any one hospital. Specialty starters exist for diagnostic radiology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, general surgery, and family medicine. They are catalogs you edit, not a finished program.

What an assistant can do

A signed-in program admin can ask an assistant to read the grid, list issues, explain one cell, add a rule in plain words, or generate an unpublished year. The assistant starts by identifying who it is acting as. It cannot regenerate a year you have published.

  1. Step 1

Start a residency or import a year

Pick a blank structure or a specialty catalog. You can also bring an existing schedule into a draft year.

  2. Step 2

    Set rotations and rules

Name rotations, who may sit them, and the counts you require. Leave the numbers empty until you mean them.

  3. Step 3

    Collect requests and generate

Open the request window. Generate the unpublished year. Read Must Fix, then publish when you accept it.

Questions

Is a shop template the same as a residency?

No. Workplace starters set shifts and headcount. A residency has classes, blocks, rotations, and call.

Can residents clock in?

Duty-hour logs for a program are confirmed against the published schedule. A shop time clock is a different feature and stays off until an admin turns it on.

Will my real roster appear on this website's public pages?

No. These pages use no one's assignments. The schedule itself requires sign-in.
