Retail scheduling software for open, mid, and close

Retail scheduling software has to cover the door from open to close without guessing who has a key. Schedultary's retail starter uses opening, mid, and close with overlap between them, plus a shorter Sunday. Roles start as owner, manager, and associate. Full-time load is about 20 shifts in a period, with one weekend. The floor minimum starts at two. You change every one of those numbers.

How a retail shop day is staffed

Sunday is the short day, 11:00 to 18:00 in the starter. Monday through Saturday run 09:00 to 21:00. Mid shifts exist so the openers are not also the closers unless you want that.

Rules worth saving

A hard rule can keep an associate off a close that overlaps a next-morning open and can require a manager when the starter says a supervisor is required. Soft rules spread Saturday and Sunday work so the same closer is not there every weekend.

Requests from the people who work it

Associates file the Sunday they need and the evenings they cannot close. Those requests sit in the same generate pass as the minimum of two on the floor.

Questions

Can I add a truck or inventory shift?

Yes. Add a named duty, set its hours and minimum, and say which roles can work it.

What if Sunday is closed?

Set that day's minimum to zero. A zero day closes and clears assignments.

Does the starter lock me into three shifts?

No. It is a starting set. Rename, retimes, or delete duties before you publish.
