Warehouse scheduling software for a first and second shift

Warehouse scheduling software is a headcount problem with skills attached. Schedultary's warehouse starter uses a first shift (06:00 to 14:00) and a second shift (14:00 to 22:00), Monday through Saturday. Roles start as supervisor, picker, and driver. The minimum starts at four. Full-time load is about 20 shifts in a period, with two weekends. Drivers can be a separate duty so a picker is not placed on a route.

How a warehouse day is staffed

The two shifts meet at 14:00 so a handover is possible. If you run a third shift, add it with an end time at or before the start so it crosses midnight cleanly.

Rules worth saving

Required skills keep a driver off a picker minimum and the reverse. A supervisor-required rule can demand one supervisor per shift. Consecutive-day limits are available when you turn hours rules on.

Requests from the people who work it

Pickers file a Saturday off. Drivers file a day they cannot be on the road. The draft sees the skill and the request together.

Questions

Can I schedule by dock or by zone?

Yes. Make each zone a duty with its own minimum or use a location on the duty.

Do drivers need a license check?

Put the requirement in eligible roles or skills. The product does not connect to a licensing bureau.

Can the second shift be shorter on Saturday?

Yes. Edit that day's hours or set a lower Saturday minimum.
