Pharmacy scheduling software with a pharmacist on the duty

Pharmacy scheduling software is unsafe if the technician grid can publish with nobody who may counsel. Schedultary's pharmacy starter covers weekday opening and closing, 08:00 to 20:00, plus Saturday 09:00 to 17:00. Roles start as pharmacist, technician, and cashier. The minimum starts at two. The starter's intent is a pharmacist on each of those duties. You enforce that by limiting the duty to the pharmacist role or by requiring that skill. Full-time load is about 27 shifts in a period, with one weekend.

How a pharmacy day is staffed

Sunday is closed in the starter. Add it if you are open. Cashiers can be a lower minimum than pharmacists so you do not burn a pharmacist seat on a register-only hour.

Rules worth saving

Eligible roles are the hard gate. A soft rule can spread Saturday among the pharmacists. Hour limits can be saved per person when hours rules are on. This does not file anything with a board of pharmacy.

Requests from the people who work it

Pharmacists rank the Saturday they want off. Technicians file a close they cannot work. Holiday rankings cover the days the store stays open when others are closed.

Questions

Can a technician open alone?

Only if you leave the duty open to that role. Restrict it to pharmacists if they must be present.

How do I handle a lunch closure?

Use a break on the duty or split the day into two duties with a gap. Breaks you mark unpaid also reduce recorded hours.

Does this manage the prescription queue?

No. It schedules the staff. The dispensing system stays separate.
