Restaurant scheduling software for prep, lunch, and dinner

Restaurant scheduling software fails when lunch and dinner are the same blob of hours. Schedultary's restaurant starter splits prep, lunch, and dinner. Friday and Saturday dinner runs later, to 23:00 instead of 22:00. Roles start as owner, manager, cook, and server. The floor minimum starts at three. Full-time load is about 20 shifts in a period, with two weekends. You edit the stations and the minimums to match the line you actually run.

How a restaurant day is staffed

Sunday through Thursday run 10:00 to 22:00. Friday and Saturday run 10:00 to 23:00. Prep is a separate duty so a cook is not assumed to be on the floor for the whole service.

Rules worth saving

Require a manager on dinner, keep a cook off a close-then-open turn, and set a higher Saturday minimum if the starter's three is too low for your room. Those are your rules. The starter does not claim a city labor ordinance is already satisfied.

Requests from the people who work it

Servers ask for a dinner off and cooks ask for a morning they cannot prep. The request window closes on the deadline you set, with a reminder before it.

Questions

Can I schedule servers and cooks on different duties?

Yes. Eligible roles sit on each duty. A server is not offered a cook shift unless you allow that role.

How do clopens work?

Add a rest or maximum-consecutive rule if back-to-back close and open should be blocked. Until you add it, the starter does not invent that ban.

Is the restaurant starter guaranteed clean on the first generate?

No. You review coverage and rule issues before you publish. The starter sets shifts, hours, and a floor count.
